A subsidiary of Hyundai, Kia Automotive Group, is South Korea's 2nd largest automobile manufacturer. The name "Kia" is roughly translated as 'Rising out of Asia'. Founded in 1944 as a manufacturer of steel tubing and bicycles, Kia began building motorcycles, trucks and cars.

  • Michael S6 The 3 Amigos better hope that the oil spike is short lived as 4-5 dollar a gallon gas would put a damper on their cash cows especially "Ford's strategic shift" of killing off the escape/Lincoln cousin. Most other automakers have a full line of vehicles with much better full economy. GM is sucking air and its Cadillac devision is mostly EV and geriatric line up of ICE cars and SUV's that were supposed to be phased out this year. The expensive gas may push shoppers toward EV but GM's horrible EV reliability is a barrier.

  • Mnemic Happened to me once because of fog. They said I could "come back" in 12hrs which would have been 10:30pm but there was a good chance it too could be cancelled because of fog. I walked out and got a cab to the closest hotel and spent the afternoon at the bar drinking beers. I went back the next day at the same time and took flight.
