After a long wait, Audi and Porsche owners will gain access to Tesla Superchargers across the U.S. and Canada tomorrow, but the rollout isn’t as straightforward as others have been. Owners won’t have access to all the features and conveniences out of the gate, but the automakers say the process will become better over time.

Audi and Porsche are giving the program a soft launch, so there will be a few annoyances for drivers at first, mainly related to the automakers’ EV apps. Neither brand’s owners will be able to control charging sessions within their respective apps. Additionally plug-and-charge will be unavailable at launch, though both features are promised soon.

All EVs from the companies can use Superchargers, except for the Audi Q4 e-Tron, and there’s no indication of if or when it’ll gain access. Neither automaker equips EVs with Tesla NACS charging ports at the factory, though the 2026 Porsche Taycan and Macan EV are expected to gain the feature. Owners of 2025 model-year Taycans and Macan EVs may be eligible for a free adapter.

While the number of public charging locations continues to grow, access to Tesla Superchargers gives owners tens of thousands of additional charging locations across the country.
