Used Car of the Day: 1992 Acura Vigor
Today we bring you a 1992 Acura Vigor as our Used Car of the Day.
This one is all about fives -- it has five cylinders and a five-speed manual transmission. It's got black leather, teak trim, and a moonroof. The mileage is under 200K and the car is being sold by the original owner. He or she has all or most of the original documentation.
This Vigor has passed the smog test and apparently runs and drives well, needing only minor work. That work involves inoperable cruise control and some dashboard warning lights that don't shut off. There also appear to some minor dents and dings.
If this sort of car speaks to you, you can find it in California for $4,000. Click here for more.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

I'm surprised a few of you folks thought $4k for a 33 yo car was a good buy. I guessing the comments of overall quality are driving that thought. I would enjoy hearing specific thoughts from anyone on the subject. (A learning experience for me I would welcome.)
My late uncle had one of these, but traded it in after a year because it was too low for him when he would go through toll booths--I took his word for it. He also had an Integra GS-R a few years later, which was even nicer.
