Nissan plans to ramp up production of the Rogue and other models in the U.S. to cope with some of the tariff changes, but the automaker’s plans for the Canadian market look completely different. Nissan paused U.S. production of three vehicles destined for Canada due to uncertainty in trade relations between the two countries.

The Canadian-market Murano and Pathfinder are built at Nissan’s Tennessee factory, while the Frontier leaves its Mississippi plant. While we’re learning about this now, in early July, Nissan reportedly started the pause on May 27 after feeling confident that it had shipped enough inventory north of the border.

While the pause is temporary and no price increases have been announced, this isn’t a great sign for Nissan, which has had to resort to drastic measures to stay afloat. The automaker recently announced that it would pause supplier payments to retain cash, and its sales numbers haven’t shown many signs of recovery after tumbling for quite a while now.

The good news for Nissan buyers in Canada is that all three models have been somewhat recently refreshed. The Rogue received a facelift last year, which brought new tech and revised styling, and Nissan completely overhauled the Frontier for the 2022 model year, finally bringing it mostly into the modern age. The Murano is all-new for 2025, and arrives without a CVT for the first time in years.

A trip to the local Chev dealer this morning an oil change for the Camaro . I didn't see a whole lot of inventory ..Thats is rare for this time of the year . A good selection of Oshawa and Mexico built Silverado's ..Two Vettes in the showroom probably there before Tariffs ? Even the used lot was kind of sparse.
I've lost track of what is, and what isn't tariffed ?? Ironically both my forever cars are UAW assembled out of Lansing ..What will be will be .

  So have I. I think some are current, some are pending, some are threatened, etc. Who really knows?

I don't think tariffs have directly effected pricing yet?

Andarris Here in the Toronto area I haven't seen a 2006-2012 with intact rocker pannels for over two years now. I presume everywhere around the Great Lakes is the same ? They were super cheap dhring the first two years of the pandemic - could get one with less than 85K for around $6500 certified or a little higher mileage for $5000. Glad I skipped it, even in 2021 some of the 10's &11's were displaying corosion like you'd see on a 7 year older Impala, Camry or Accord. Also the mid-model switch to EPS made me balk at the few clean ones I found.

I only fly out of PDX or EUG to LAS or OAK and OGG then back .. have never been delayed in the last ?30-ish? trips to vegas/disneyland/maui/cruise ship vacations.... EUG has contract tsa so we never have any TSA delays. unsure which airports have PRIVATE contract TSA that is UNAFFECTED by the deadlock that i HOPE NEVER EVER END.

Michael S6 The 3 Amigos better hope that the oil spike is short lived as 4-5 dollar a gallon gas would put a damper on their cash cows especially "Ford's strategic shift" of killing off the escape/Lincoln cousin. Most other automakers have a full line of vehicles with much better full economy. GM is sucking air and its Cadillac devision is mostly EV and geriatric line up of ICE cars and SUV's that were supposed to be phased out this year. The expensive gas may push shoppers toward EV but GM's horrible EV reliability is a barrier.
