Ford Racing Parts is giving owners of the Ford F-150 and Mustang an opportunity every car owners has wished for at some point during their ownership experience: more power. In this case, an aftermarket kit to install a Whipple Supercharger.

Most aftermarket accessories make a vehicle look faster or meaner, but far fewer actually allow them to walk the walk. Ford’s high-performance racing unit is making it easier for F-150 and Mustang owners to beef of the ponies hiding under the hood with a turn-key supercharger. The kit is for all 2026 F-150 and Mustang models with the iconic 5.0-liter V8 engine.

Developed in partnership with Whipple Superchargers, the kit boosts F-150 performance to 700 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque The 2026 Mustang GT and Dark Horse variants develop even more power with 810 hp and 615 lb-ft of torque when equipped with active valve exhaust (800 hp for standard exhaust).

Unsurprisingly, Ford even offers up a recommendation for which F-150 model to pair up the new aftermarket power module: the 2026 Ford F-150 Lobo street truck. Noting it “serves as the ideal vehicle for this upgrade, now allowing even higher output to match its aggressive stance.”

Perhaps more important than the power numbers are the fact that this new kit comes with factory approval, meaning you won’t void your warranty slapping this setup on the vehicle. It’s engineered to Ford’s 100,000-mile durability standards, ensuring capability and reliability.

“It is the ultimate expression of the Ford philosophy,” the company noted. “By offering factory-backed, warranty-friendly performance upgrades from day one, Ford gives customers the power and peace of mind to take an already incredible vehicle and truly make it their own. It includes a 3-year/36,000-mile Ford Racing Parts warranty. Please note that vehicle maximum speed is not modified from the production configuration.

Somehow I am not comfortable with adding this aftermarket. Just because its Ford approved, I would expect warranty conflict will ensure when that 5.0 liter engine implodes with one of these. Ford will claim damage was caused by add on and/or it was improperly installed/maintained/used.

Expect more recalls, and especially more Found On Road Dead situations.

My 09 Tundra is running "just fine" with my Magnuson supercharger with 9lbs of boost and methanol injection. The speed limiter is removed and it produces 605 hp at the flywheel (505hp at the rear wheels. I have a rebuilt motor 60k ago with copper head gaskets. transmission rebuilt 5k ago. Had to add limited slip. I added a 46 gallon gas tank by Transferflow. I get anywhere from 15mpg to 20 mpg depending on terrain and right foot pressure. Brakes and shocks are original. Tires are BF Goodrich KO3's. I am soon to add a "cold box system" for summer .

  • Andarris Here in the Toronto area I haven't seen a 2006-2012 with intact rocker pannels for over two years now. I presume everywhere around the Great Lakes is the same ? They were super cheap dhring the first two years of the pandemic - could get one with less than 85K for around $6500 certified or a little higher mileage for $5000. Glad I skipped it, even in 2021 some of the 10's &11's were displaying corosion like you'd see on a 7 year older Impala, Camry or Accord. Also the mid-model switch to EPS made me balk at the few clean ones I found.
  • Kjhkjlhkjhkljh kljhjkhjklhkjh I do not ever have delays. • Big Al from Oz gidday mites how are yall feelin today? Want to have a barbie? We are right here gettin dee fire ready
  • Michael S6 The 3 Amigos better hope that the oil spike is short lived as 4-5 dollar a gallon gas would put a damper on their cash cows especially "Ford's strategic shift" of killing off the escape/Lincoln cousin. Most other automakers have a full line of vehicles with much better full economy. GM is sucking air and its Cadillac devision is mostly EV and geriatric line up of ICE cars and SUV's that were supposed to be phased out this year. The expensive gas may push shoppers toward EV but GM's horrible EV reliability is a barrier.
  • Tane94 I read the GM press release about first quarter sales 2026 vs 2025 and Buick is getting its butt kicked:Buick Total* 41,654 61,822 -32.6 The future is bleak for Buick.
