We reported today about NHTSA's escalating investigation into Tesla's Full Self Driving.

We've also covered more than a few incidents involving Waymo's autonomous taxis and pedestrians or other cars.

Full Self Driving, Ford's Blue Cruise, GM's SuperCruise -- these features have been on market long enough that many of you have either used one of these systems or been driving near a vehicle so equipped.

So, I want to ask today -- have had an incident, or a near incident, involving one of these systems? Either as a driver, passenger, pedestrian, or cyclist?

If so, give us the dirty details. Sound off below.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

Not an autonomous system, but the blind spot assist in my CX-90 is absolutely flummoxed by TWO left turn lanes and shouts at me because there are cars in the lane I'm not in and have no intention of using.

About the Waymo operating vehicle blowing a stop sign, its company engineers should be taking hearsay from random citizens like you quickly and seriously. In the example presented here Waymo failed to recognize conflicting traffic approaching so closely as to present an immediate hazard.
