Recall Alert: 2025 Toyota Tacoma
We have a recall alert for you this afternoon. It involves 2025 Toyota Tacoma and Tacoma Hybrids.
Toyota is recalling 5,960 units of 2025 Tacoma and Tacoma Hybrid vehicles because the front driveshaft CV joint may deform and break. A failure could impair steering, and in full-time 4WD models, it could cause the vehicle to roll away if parked without the parking brake, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will inspect and replace the front driveshaft assemblies as needed at no cost. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on November 16, 2025. Owners can contact Toyota at 1-800-331-4331. The recall numbers are 25TB11 and 25TA11.

My Ford F-150 and Bronco were the most problematic vehicle I've ever owned in 35 years. My current staple of 6 Toyotas that I currently own have had no issues except for my 1985 FJ60 with 280,000mi with leaking transfer case and transmission. As compared to the same "solid engineering" that is Ford when on my 2014 F-140 Ecobost I went through 2 rear main seals in 80,000 with the second one leaking with 30,000 on the clock., Both turbos needing replacement. Transmission front pump failure. I'll stick with Toyota, I wouldn't buy a new Tacoma because they are all turbo 4's.
How does an all-metal CV joint "deform" - are they actually made of plastic?
