Recall Alert: 2023-2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Wrangler 4XEs
Today's recall involves 2023-2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XEs and 2024-2025 Jeep Wrangler 4XEs.
Chrysler is recalling about 112,859 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe (2023–2025) and Jeep Wrangler 4xe (2024–2025) plug-in hybrid models because debris inside the engine can lead to engine failure. This may cause a loss of power and could also lead to an engine compartment fire.
A fix is still being developed. Chrysler plans to send interim notices to owners by December 29, 2025, with follow-up letters once a final repair is ready. Affected owners can contact Chrysler at 800-853-1403, and VINs became searchable on NHTSA’s site on November 13, 2025.

- Bookish So some lawyer comes up with a scam to shake down the auto industry and the NYT makes it an ethical crusade against Ford. And you repeat it moralistically and uncritically.

- Biff Finally the chickens have come home to roost. I have been saying this for three years: just wait until the EV’ers have to pay the road tax. Lets not forget that it’s California we are talking about and they have never met a tax they didn’t like. Plus it’s “the rich” buying new cars so its a double “lets tax’em!” The solution is simple enough. Have EV’s go into emissions stations as part of license plate renewal. Except here record the milage and get a bill for the cost. The rate should be around 1.5X the comparable gas size vehicle due to added weight. Lets watch the progessive politics swallow this one!

Nothing like a rod knock on a modern vehicle.
"When we weighed the metal shavings from our bad engines, we noticed we were a little light compared to Hyundai and Toyota so we will be adding more in the future. Management has made the decision to also add a can of that silica stuff used on cash for clunker engines just in case."
