Meet The 2026 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak -- Cue The Thin Lizzy
You can jailbreak your phone. You can rock Thin Lizzy's 1976 hit "Jailbreak". And now, you can plunk down a pile of cash to get a highly customizable 2026 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak.
Dodge/Stellantis is touting the six million possible customization combinations for this rig. From the press release:
Six different wheel options, fitted with a choice of four unique Brembo brake colors
Six exterior colors options, including new-for-2026 Green Machine
Six exterior badge color choices
Five exterior dual-stripe designs and all-new Gloss Black-painted hood
Five interior seat colors in three different configurations (five-, six- or seven-passenger seating) can be paired with a selection of four seat belt colors
Power sunroof, premium audio, Driver Safety Tech, trailer tow and more can all be added to any buildable combination
Dodge wants you to know that the interior gets a special badge, too.
Underhood is the venerable 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8 -- a motor that was sentenced to death but has been rescued either because Dodge realized it alienated customers and/or the current presidential administration is a lot friendlier to gas guzzlers. This one makes 710 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque. If you want insane power -- and to get to know your local Citgo station cashier on a deeper level - you can get your hands on one in the fourth quarter of this year.

As an example of the customization on offer here, you can get your 20-inch wheels in all sorts of styles, including Brass Monkey. You can pick from four different colors for the Brembo brake calipers -- red, black, yellow, and orange.
You have tons of choice for exterior badging, and dual racing stripes, and paint color, and so on and so forth.
That ability to customize also includes the interior -- you can even select the seatbelt color.
Other options include Harman Kardon audio with 19 speakers, SRT steering wheel, SRT black exhaust tips, suede headliner, power sunroof, a trailering package, Pirelli three-season tires, and a third seating row.
SRT and the Hemi are back, and buyers can show that off in whichever way they want.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

HEY ''EXTRA HIGH PRICED LAST CALL BUYERS.. HOWS THAT FEEL??"
Great. Just what 90 % of us really need: Another car north of 50gs. An over powered gas guzzler that’s unreliable. Sure Stella will sell a few Brontosauruses. Then what? Just sit and steam (or broil) on our carbon pollution (you idiots) while we squeeze the last dollar from the petro economy.
A similar strategy was tried by 3 former great companies that are mere shadows of their pasts: Kodak, Xerox, Polaroid.
Next Up: Ford, Gm, Stella.
