Housekeeping: Happy New Year 2026

Ah, today is the last day of 2025.

So, as per usual, we're going to be off tomorrow and Friday and over the weekend. Though, again, as per usual, there may be some content should news break.

Myself and everyone at TTAC wish you a happy New Year! Don't drink and drive tonight, please. Enjoy your plans, whatever they are, whether you're going out dancing until 2 a.m. or you'll be zonked out well before the ball drops. If you're a college football fan like myself, enjoy the games, even if Notre Dame did get screwed.

We'll see you on January 5th -- we've been slow through the holiday period but we'll be rocking and rolling come Monday. We'll see you then!

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

Notre Dame played two good teams the whole year, and lost to both. Cry me a river.
