Used Car of the Day: 1997 Subaru Impreza Coupe
Today we bring you a 1997 Subaru Impreza Coupe.
This one has a 2.5-liter instead of the 2.2-liter. There's a new clutch, WRX wheels, and a laundry list of maintenance and modifications.
The title is clean and there's no rust. But the paint is old and wearing, it might need a new throwout bearing, and the center differential will likely need to be addressed. The rear seats are missing.
If this interests you, you can find it in the Bay Area for $5,000. Click here for more.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

Very nice find tim.
That engine combination, 2.5L block and 2.2L head, doesn't make very much sense.
While the listing is pretty clear and doesn't appear to be holding anything back...the lack of interior pictures suggests there are surprises.
