I had my picks for worst cars of 2025. Now it's your turn.

You probably don't get access to press cars, but you rent cars. Some of you work for dealers, and get to drive various cars that way. Some of you borrow your friend's cars. Et cetera.

Not much else needed to explain this one.

You know what to do. Sound off below.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

Mitsubishi Eclipse; a tin can of a rental-car if there ever was one.

    NIssan Altima.

The upmodel rental I drove, with the low-profile tires and big wheels, was scary. When crossing expansion joints onto bridges that weren't perpendicular to the lane of travel, it would take a new direction as if it rebounded. The tires were not overinflated, as indicated by the TPMS display. Radio had so many functions that it was functionally useless without a manual review.

"Feature"-rich on paper, but not a good driving experience. I know why these are fleet and low-credit-score buyers' favorites; they come out on top in spreadsheet decision -making for vehicle purchase(s). I can't grasp how bad a used one sold from fleet must be.
