Used Car of the Day: 2023 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack Widebody

Today's used car of the day is barely used. A Michigan-based seller has simply decided it's already time to move on to the next thing -- this seller claims not to be a flipper.

Fun fact: I once lived near where this seller does.

Anywho, the car has factory hood pins and a six-speed manual with a cue-ball shifter. That shifter also has a short throw.

The mileage is low, under 1,200, and the seller claims to have closely followed the break-in protocol. It looks like our seller is parting ways with this car to make way for a Demon 170.

The price is $59,750.

A quick note -- the database was heavy today with cars that were similar to ones previously featured. So please don't whine that this car is basically brand new. See it instead as a chance to get a Challenger without dealing with a dealer.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

    Sexy!!!!

Love the wide body and the color is great. Screw the boring colors, their fine for minivans and run of the mill CUVs. Manuals suck in a truck but the only way to go in a car like this. Cloth is a non-starter for me, leather and it would be perfect!

  • MaintenanceCosts Isn't this survey pretty much a measure of infotainment ease of use at this point?
  • Ajla My sister had a 2010 9-3 sedan through 2019. While it wasn't as easy to get parts as an Impala it wasn't a major task either. It's also crazy to remember how cheap used cars were pre-Covid. 😅
  • Ajla I can read the owner's manual all day long but that won't improve the functionality of certain haptic buttons or overactive proximity alarms or badly integrated stop/start systems or infotainment screens the need to reboot once a week. I don't think it is bad to have these sort of issues called out either.
  • Fahrvergnugen Almost 50% more weight than an E28? Just as ludicrous as inflating a sedan to 1,000psi and calling it a GT anything...
  • KOKing The next dominant driver/team combo will come just as it has before. I'd say Max has another season, but the rules changes for '26 and whatever driver/team combos that happen to come along with that could start a streak for Lando, Charles or George.
