Today we go with a 2013 Mini Coupe John Cooper Works for the Used Car of the Day. And that's not because there's a Mini sitting in my garage as I type.

This one appears to be in "excellent" condition with just 57,000 miles on the odometer.

The seller claims to have "babied" this manual-transmission car.

There is one mod -- a cold-air intake has been installed.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

Such a strange car. I'd love to know how something like this came to market

I fully agree. A friend bought one and got rid of it within a year; not because of problems but because it was too tiny (she's not a big woman).

The Coupe is dumb-looking, and just dumb. Buy a Hardtop from this generation. Those are cool.

It's like someone at Mini saw a CRX and said "We need to do that to our car" and never stopped to think if they should or not.
