Today we serve up a heavily modified 1992 BMW 535i.

This is apparently a "hobby" car that has never been driven in the winter and has been garage-kept.

Mods include the camshaft, exhaust manifold and exhaust system (including the muffler), wheels, and radiator fan. There's a Bilstein suspension, launch control, Konig seats, and Alpina front and rear spoilers.

Our seller claims 239 horsepower for this stick-shift 535i. I do not see a listed mileage.

Click here to see this Bimmer -- if it strikes your fancy, the asking price is $15,000.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

    [From the OP]

    Mille Miglia 9x17 + 11x17 wheels (cost of rims alone +/- 4000 $)

The stretch on the rears is rather off putting.

  • SCE to AUX For the same money a Model S has 400+ miles range, but this is nicer.
  • Jalop1991 "extended wheelbase G80". Ummm...isn't that the G90?Yes. Yes it is.
  • MaintenanceCosts Isn't this survey pretty much a measure of infotainment ease of use at this point?
  • Ajla My sister had a 2010 9-3 sedan through 2019. While it wasn't as easy to get parts as an Impala it wasn't a major task either. It's also crazy to remember how cheap used cars were pre-Covid. 😅
  • Ajla I can read the owner's manual all day long but that won't improve the functionality of certain haptic buttons or overactive proximity alarms or badly integrated stop/start systems or infotainment screens the need to reboot once a week. I don't think it is bad to have these sort of issues called out either.
