QOTD: What Apple CarPlay Features Would You Like?
We took some time this morning to show you what new Apple CarPlay features await iOS users as iOS 18 launches.
I am wondering, though, what features would you like to see Apple add (or Android Auto, for you Droid users out there)?
I, for one, would love it if I could set things up so that if I am sitting in a drive-thru and decide to scroll social media, the radio doesn't get overtaken by an autoplay video.
I'd also love it if the battery charge icon doesn't get covered by the "Driving" icon, as happens in some cars I test.
Maybe a safety override that would allow my passenger to punch directions into the keyboard when using maps, so I don't get locked out while the car is motion and I end up screaming at Siri.
Beyond that, I am hard-pressed to think of other features I'd like, though I bet I could noodle up a few more if spent an hour or two on it.
What say you?
Sound off below.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

- Lorenzo If it's over 30 years old and over 80k miles, and not a classic, it's a parts car, worth no more than 20% of original price.
- Dusterdude No mileage noted on a 33 year old car means likely well north of 300k + miles , along with issues noted , should equate to an ask price of less than $3k
- Ajla IMO, something like this really should be naturally-aspirated.
