Despite my bias as a former Fox-body owner and unabashed Fox-body fan, we don't post a ton of Fox-body Mustangs in this feature. We actually don't feature that many Mustangs in general, though we've had a few Bullitts and last week's drop-top Cobra. That's because used Mustangs, even the aging Fox bodies, are plentiful on the Interwebs.

Still, this one was clean enough to stop me in my proverbial tracks as I browsed the internal corporate database I use to pull these cars.

There are only 80,000 miles on this LX with a manual transmission. Our seller has had it for nearly 20 years and claims that it has made 400 horsepower on a dyno. There are, he or she says, a lot of modifications. Those would appear to include the camshaft, lifters, intake, rebuilt and ported heads, and the exhaust. It also has mass air flow.

That manual is a Tremec T5, but of course. The wheels and tires are new. Other upgrades include the alternator and cooling fan.

You can find this Fox in Minnesota for $22,000 and the mileage is just 80,000.

Don't care for this example, but teenage me thought a 5.0 LX hatchback was a nearly perfect all-around car. More sleeper-ish and tasteful than the GT package, creature comforts as a daily, and hatchback utility. Mercury Capri even better. H.S. friend had an earlier Capri (79'?) but I liked them best with the "bubble back" hatch that came later.

@1995 SC Close but no intercooler, the extra suspension parts, and probably more. But Ford was selling a lot of Thunderbirds, SVOs not so much.

  The 87-88 cars got the intercooler and adjustable suspension. Those are the ones you want. Well the ones I want anyway. But I do think the SVO is by far the coolest of the Fox Body Mustangs

Fred My brother has a big compressor that trips his breakers often. It can power tools and sprayers. I have a smaller one that basically blows air and inflates tires.

Funky D I've retrofitted both of my current rides with a CarPlay capable head unit. It's nice to be able to play tunes from my phone (with contains all 72 GB of my music library), stream from the Sirius XM or one of the radio apps, all while using the Apple Maps to avoid serious traffic backups. If you are going to have online connectivity, I'd rather it go through a company that is not trying to harvest your data so it can sell to the highest bidder.
