States With The Most Car Crashes
With August being National Traffic Awareness month, we'll be talking a bit more about safety than we usually do -- stay tuned for a future podcast episode on the topic, as well.
So with that in mind, we're going to give you the top 10 states with the most car crashes, according to Insurify via Visual Capitalist. The rate here is number of crashes per 1,000 drivers in a state, rounded off to the nearest one decimal place.

The state known potatoes, scenery, and militias is at 4.8 percent.
South Carolina
The lowcountry is also at 4.8 percent.
Virginia
Virginia's rate is 4.8 percent.
North Carolina
The Tar Heel State is at 4.9 percent.
Utah
The Beehive State checks in at 5 percent.
Nebraska
Nebraska has lots of corn and a 5.1 percent crash rate.
Maine
Lobster rolls and rollovers? Maine's crash rate is 5.4 percent.
Rhode Island
Rhode Island is a small state with a small population -- but it's also densely populated. So that could explain the 5.6 percent crash rate.
New Hampshire
New Hampshire has a rate of 5.8 percent.
Massachusetts
There are reasons a certain derogatory slang term for Massachusetts residents exists. That 6.1 percent crash rate is likely one of those reasons.
